I
have received many helpful suggestions from the visitors who have signed
my Amarna survey, one of the most common being that I should say more about
the people of the Amarna period. Therefore, I will here attempt to provide
a rough sketch of the lives of some of these fascinating people.
This is a difficult task, given the gross lack of material from the period. However, I will try to piece together what I can from the evidence provided by the primary source material and the conclusions reached by various scholars of the period.
