You're gonna reap what you sow,
In the sweet, sweet by-'n-by,
When the fire of my love shall cease to burn,
You will call me in vain,
And hang your head and cry,
But I'll be far away; I'll not return!
Now, many times, when you're blue,
You will miss my hug and kiss,
When your new lover quits and turns to go,
If you make your own bed hard,
Don't you call on the Lord,
'Cause He's promised you shall reap just what you sow!
